The award was given on the basis of recommendations, of a committee of eminent personalities set up by the centre, for Saint Dr.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji's extraordinary work to reform the society via a movie. It's noteworthy that after watching MSG-1 and MSG-2, myriads of people have shunned their vices and have adopted the path of virtues. Keeping this in mind, the jury panel comprising of Mr. Anees Bazmee, Mrs. Saroj khan, Mr. Ismail Darbar, Mr. Udit Narayan, Mrs. Runa Laila, Mr. Kamlesh Pandey and Mr. Anup Jalota unanimously recommended Guruji's name for the prestigious award.
