23rd 'Yaad-E-Murshid' Free Eye Health Screening and Operation Camp

On First Day Of The Camp, 106 Eye Operations Performed 582 Patients Identified For Operation, 7205 Eye Patients Registered

On Saturday the 13th Dec 2014, the revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insaan inaugurated online the 23rd 'Yaad-E-Murshid' Mega Free Eye Check-up & Operation Camp set up under the National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB), in the sacred memory of His Holiness  Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj through internet. The revered Guruji gave the holy blessings to the doctors and volunteers participating and providing services in the medical camp. From the starting of this mega eye screening and operation camp from Friday till Saturday evening, a total of 7205 patients were registered which comprised of 3938 female patients and 3267 male patients. Among the registered patients, 582 persons were selected for the operation. Till the writing of the news, a total of 106 eye operations were performed. All the patients were planted with the eye lens with the latest modern 'Faiko' technology. The patients who were selected for the operation were operated upon in 6 number modern operation theaters of the Shah Satnam Super Speciality Hospital. In each operation theater, two eye specialist doctors operated upon patients on two tables. A total of 6 teams of doctors were working in 6 operation theaters, thus simultaneously operating on 12 eye patients at a time. The patients after the operation were made to stay in the 4 big wards and 4 small wards set up in the Shah Satnam Super Speciality Hospital equipped with all the latest and all possible modern facilities. In the big ward, 30 beds were put up and in small ward, 10 beds were put up for the eye patients. While inaugurating the 23rd 'Yaad-E-MurshidParam Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj' Free Eye Health Screening and Operation Camp, the revered saint Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insaan said that today millions of people are drawing inspirations from the holy teachings of Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj to walk on the right path. More than 50 million followers of Dera Sacha Sauda institution are working in 104 number of humanity welfare programme being carried out all over the world. Although all the months are dedicated for the service of humanity, but particularly the month of December is especially dedicated for the service to humanity. In the December month, the volunteers set up the mega eye health screening and operation camp in which they get thousands of eye patients operated upon and thus brings light to their dark life. While blessing the volunteers he told them that those who serve the needy children of God, He gives them immense happiness. The revered Guruji made a call to the volunteers to serve the patients as their own parents. In this camp, various eye diseases, lens planting, white and black cataract operations, the kids eye operation, the eye sight damaged due to high blood pressure or high blood sugar levels, the eye tumors and other types of special eye diseases will be diagnosed and treated. In this mega camp, 42 eye specialists and 40 other doctors from various part of the country are serving. Separate wards set up for the male and female patients: In the modern Shah Satnam Super Speciality Hospital , there were separate wards set up for the male and female patients. Special arrangements for lodging and food were made available free of cost by the Dera Sacha Sauda institution for the family members accompanying the patients. Thousands of members of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force Wing were deputed for serving and care of the patients.
