The human beings greed for dominating the planet has become beastly to say the least. All other life forms are trampled upon with impunity. Animals and birds are butchered and slaughtered in millions to tingle the human palate. Several species are already extinct and innumerable others are on the verge of extinction. Several life forms are killed for food, several others are killed for clothing or fur. Apart from this, there is a huge trade in animal parts that has reached astronomical proportions. The chemicals that we humans have unleashed have poisoned the planet beyond redemption. All human activities are extracting a heavy toll of the animal life while they are also being farmed for food in a direct contravention of religion. Guruji extols non violence as the first and foremost cardinal principle of spiritual life. Every one who learns meditation from Guruji undertakes a solemn vow not to hurt animals in any way. Pure vegetarianism is the most elementary observance. The animals that stray into the Ashram premises are cared for by everyone concerned. Guruji feeds the animals with his own hands and tends them with utmost compassion. Guruji teaches that even venomous reptiles and poisonous insects have an equal right to exist. If they stray into human habitation, they should be left fat away and not killed. Ever since Dera Sacha Sauda was founded, not a single snake has been killed in the Ashram's premises.

Along with the welfare of humanity, Dera Sacha Sauda also arranges fodder for the hapless animals. An ardent advocate of non-violence Dera Sacha Sauda does not allow even venomous reptiles like snakes and scorpions to be killed in its premises.

Guruji feeds animals and they too, react with extraordinary enthusiasm and literally eat out of Guruji's pious hands. Any other human being scares them away while Guruji touches their divine cord
