Karnataka celebrates 66th Foundation Day with a Tree Plantation Drive

Bangalore: The followers of Dera Sacha Sauda and the members of Shah Satnam Ji Green 'S' welfare Force wing celebrated Ashram's 66th Foundation Day in a novel manner by planting saplings in Bangalore to serve the humanity; as a part of its campaign to increase the green cover across the globe. Around 50 Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers participated in the drive and planted 133 plants in the premises of a Government high school in Nelagadharanahalli area on Sunday April 27th. They had also spread awareness among school children towards the importance of forestation and protection of environment. The unique fact about the programme was that they took up the oath to protect tree saplings till it survives and grows into tree. Every volunteer was seen very excited for the drive and the whole drive was carried forward with high zeal. Noteworthy, in an era of global warming, Dera is contributing its maximum share in making the environment lush green. "Protection of earth through every possible means is the need of the hour. Children must be taught the importance of saving trees and plantation right at an early age. More plants on the campus would add to the healthy environment. We are really thankful to Dera Sacha Sauda for carrying out the plantation drive," said school Principal Bharti B.P. Government School authority also issued a Letter of Appreciation on the name of Shah Satnam Ji Green 'S' welfare force wing, Dera Sacha Sauda, Haryana. The local residents and authorities of Bangalore appreciated the efforts of Dera Sacha volunteers who provided a moral to all and exhibited the real effort for saving earth and promoting healthy environment for the coming generations. It is worth mentioning that Revered Guru Ji has initiated 101 such welfare activities which are being executed in all earnest by the volunteers irrespective of their location. The tree plantation drive is also one of those 101 activities and has adorned Dera Sacha Sauda with 3 Guinness Book of World Records. The organization has planted more than 21 millions saplings around the globe since 2009. This welfare activity has been named "Nature Campaign" by Revered Pita Ji and the reason behind its initiation is conservation of planet Earth by planting as many trees as possible to counter the depreciation of flora and to prevent environmental degradation to the extent possible. Hats off to Revered Guru Ji for initiating this humanitarian effort and infusing such an exquisite spirit in the hearts of volunteers towards social welfare!
