Food, home and clothing are the basic necessities for the survival of a human being. But for many, a roof above their heads is just a dream that they cannot fulfill. Sleeping under the open skies, braving the heat, rains and winters, many homeless people have to struggle way too hard in their bid to survive. Struck with poverty, sickness and other circumstances, there are millions of homeless in our country.

Homely Shelter – Free homes for the destitute

To help such homeless people, Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has initiated a program called ‘Homely Shelter’ wherein without any external funding, the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda, pool in their resources together to help build free homes for the homeless.

More than 1900 homes constructed across many states

Till date, more than 1900 homes have been built for the destitute under the initiative ‘Homely Shelter’ in the states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan, etc by the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda. These homes are built in just 1-2 days; a large number of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers turn up to contribute in the construction work. A variety of simple techniques are employed for cost effective civil work; the volunteers pool in resources and money to get the construction material. Not only that, the landless person also receives a gift of land on which their homes are constructed.

Many destitute, elderly, physically challenged and widowed women have been helped through this initiative and the volunteers continue to carry on this work with great vigor and zeal, thanks to the inspiration and guidance by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.

147th Welfare works aimed at serving mankind selflessly

With the pious guidance of Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, many welfare tasks are being executed by the Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers across the world; each one is dedicated to a cause and aims for the betterment of society.
